Description A colourful and striking pack of 6 blank greetings cards from my linocut images of coastal birds . This collection of old favourites has been printed on slightly larger cards with brown ribbed envelopes and repackaged within a belly band. Cellophane packaging has been ditched. Designs include an oystercatcher, curlew, little egret, grey heron, lapwing and redshank; these are birds I love to watch on the shore near where I live. This pack would make a perfect gift for a wildlife enthusiast, birdwatcher, walker, or lover of nature and the outdoors. In my making process I carve the design out of linoleum or Japanese vinyl, roll it up with ink and hand print it. I put a lot of time and thought into mixing my inks when printmaking. I apply the first colour to the lino, handprint it then cut away more of the image, mix up the second colour, apply, print and so on, building up layer upon layer. The result is a rich depth of colour. Card size: 148 x 148mm, printed on 300gsm card sourced from sustainable forests with brown ribbed envelopes.
